It. is mostly. accessible by. boat but the Nishath. suth. road connects. it to Nishat and Rainawari. The residents also cultivate Haakh and other vegetables which women. in the. neighbourhoodclean and pack for selling. Vendors come. to the neighborhood in boats or shikaras to sell in. the floating vegetable market which begins at dawn every day. People in this mohalla are mostly of the Sunni muslim sect. and relatively. low income compared to the other mohallas around. This. is one. of the many. mohallas. in the. neighbourhood demarcated. for clearing and many residents have already been. relocated. to Rakh i Arath or around the lake vicinity.

As is the. case. with. many neighbourhoods in. the llake, the restrictions on home. repair and contructions have resulted in a. lot of. the strucutres most. of which are decadesnold to. crumble. and fall into. diisrepair. Whiile. the. residents wish to. move out of the lake, they feel - because their. livelihood depends on it.
